| Overview: |
The Enterprise IT Architect will provide leadership to our IT Architecture team. This team reports to the IT Manager, and is responsible for the architectural design, deployment, and maintenance of all internal IT systems at Dealer.com in Burlington, VT. To be successful, this position will need to be constantly aware of future IT industry trends and design and implement systems that align this awareness with key business objectives. This high-level expertise must be combined with excellent hands-on implementation, deployment, and maintenance skills, with expertise in both Linux and Windows administration. A strong desire to mentor other members of the IT Architecture team is required. Expertise in solutions research, proposal writing, project management, and technical documentation writing is critical to communicate with a) executive management during the project initiation and deployment stages, and b) Helpdesk staff during the go-live and ongoing maintenance stages of a project. Projects on the horizon include centralized authentication (Active Directory), groupware, enterprise level storage (SAN), disaster recovery/backups, automated workstation management and inventorying, system monitoring, and wired and wireless networking. Dealer.com has over 300 employees and is on a rapid growth trajectory. This position has the opportunity to build the enterprise-level IT architecture necessary to support future company growth, including significant employment increases and multiple physical sites. The ideal candidate would have demonstrated success in leading a company's IT Architecture through a similarly steep growth curve. An eager, high-energy candidate is desired to jump right in, tackle many projects at once, and help take the IT organization to the next level.

| Qualifications: |
The ideal candidate will be an experienced IT Architect, with 5-7 years experience in both Linux and Windows environments. Demonstrated training/mentoring experience is a plus. BS in IT field preferred, but comparable work experience will be considered.
